Well August seems like a long time ago now that its November. Thanksgiving is Thursday so this write up is a bit late. I can make excuses and good ones at that but I'll continue instead. Well this was the year of the new Generation CCW introduction bikes. For those of us that made it to the Homecoming we saw and fondled both models. Those intro models are of course the Gen 2 Misfits. Stan and CCW have out done themselves with both the 250 and later on the 500cc model. Us riders that were there had the privilege of seeing the 500 in person and wow what a machine. Eventually there will be a 500cc Heist and Im personally going to own one of those if and when they happen. Scott explained the reasoning behind the Gen 2 to all of us and it made perfect sense. The Misfit is the first of the new line of bikes. Once the Misfit gets all of its EPA thumbs up the rest will follow rather quickly. It is my understanding that there will be a Gen 2 Ace and Heist in the future. I hope I got that right. So very exciting news for us CCW fans indeed. I was lucky enough to sit on a running 500cc misfit and to be honest I was in a state of disbelief. Stan had to rev it for me because I was in Neverland mentally at the time. I was very impressed by the overall quality feel of the bike and lets just say they should sell quite well.
What about the Homecoming overall you say? Well if you were there you were damn glad you were. Scott and the CCW crew went way out of their way to make us all feel at home. I know I did. We did some planned rides in the city which were both fantastic experiences for the riders not from the Cleveland area. Riding in a pack of CCW bikes put the hairs on my neck on end. It was decided that this Homecoming thing should be held every year for the riders and so far it shall be. All in all a great experience for me as a rider and a bike enthusiast. I was able meet old friends again and make new ones. It's cool meeting FB friends in person and becoming friends in reality as well. There were several bikes there from all over the country. Even one from New Mexico courtesy of Mike Mead. I was able meet Al leson and Brett Moore as well. Homecoming 2 is already in the works and is in the process of being scheduled for Aug 13th and 14th of 2016. I know Ill be there again. If you missed this year do yourself a favor and be there next year. Im keeping my ears open for any more news on the 500cc bikes. Im sure those in the FB group will hear about it first. Keep an eye out for Homecoming 2 posts there too. Don’t forget the COG patches are still available and a Homecoming 2 patch is coming shortly I'm sure. Once again thanks to CCW, Scott and Jarrod for welcoming us all so genuinely and with tons of hospitality. Here is to next year and Cheers to all.
